A precipitous, pillar-like complex of towering rock formations in the region of Central Greece, Meteora is the second most impressive Eastern Orthodox monastic group after Mt. Athos, and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our full-day tour of Meteora takes you on an exciting adventure into the savage beauty of this unique region and the rich monastic history of Meteora, alongside visits to the neighbouring Kalambaka town and Kastraki village for delicious local food. An optional stop is where the battle of the 300 took place at Thermopylae where you will see the statue of King Leonidas and also enjoy a short 20 minute 3D movie on one of the most famous battles of antiquity.
